What your first hour with Rentbase actually looks like
Most pages on the Rentbase site make claims. This page shows you the screens. Three moments — sign-up, the import, and the first lease the AI reads — pulled straight from the product. After this hour, your portfolio is in Rentbase. The lease reader, renewal pipeline, and vacancy briefs run from there — covered in detail on the Platform page. If you trust what you see, start the trial.
1. The first ninety seconds
You sign up. Then you see the dashboard. No tour, no webinar, no empty modal asking you to "explore." Rentbase opens to a dashboard with one thing on it — the import. Everything else stays muted until your portfolio is in the system. Property managers don't have time to learn software. They have time to upload a rent roll.
2. The import — what happens to messy data
Rent roll columns named differently in every file. Tenant names with extra spaces. Dates in three formats. The AI reads what you have, maps it to Rentbase fields, and shows you exactly what it inferred — column-by-column, before anything is created. Anything ambiguous gets flagged for your review. Anything wrong gets fixed in one click. The whole import is reversible until you commit.
3. The first lease the AI reads
Drop in a lease PDF. The AI extracts every standard field — parties, dates, rent, deposit, late fees, pet policy, renewal terms. Click any extracted value, the source paragraph in the PDF lights up. If something looks wrong, you correct it once and the model learns the format for the next lease in that template.
Common questions
Is the AI actually accurate on real-world leases? In testing, the lease reader extracts every standard field at high accuracy on first pass. Custom riders, hand-annotated PDFs, and scanned documents are flagged for review.
Can I import from AppFolio, Buildium, or DoorLoop? Yes. Drop in the export file from your current PMS. AI maps the columns to Rentbase fields and shows you what it inferred before anything is committed.
What happens if the import goes wrong? Nothing is committed until you click Commit. If you commit and then realize something's off, the entire import can be undone in one click.
What happens at the end of the 14-day trial? On day 15, your account becomes read-only until you subscribe. Your data stays where it is. We don't auto-charge.
